about:marcia

I have been with the Mozilla project since the Netscape days. To me, it has always been a rush to be part of a community that makes great products. Along the way I have interacted with many great Mozillians, and shared many memorable moments at Mozilla events.

Back in the Firefox 1.0 days I wrote a book with Chris Hofmann and John Hedtke.

I grew up in the splendid confines of New England, and my most treasured memories are the beautiful fall colors that fill the sky in early October. I think that is partly what drew me to the visual arts, especially photography.

Marcia can't be easily categorized in any technical sense since she doesn't have much of a technical background and often flies low on the radar.

Her mozilla.org work involves dealing with a lot of administrative minutia, including handling all CVS accounts and troubleshooting when things go awry. In her pre-Mozilla days, Marcia worked in entertainment and law and still dabbles in freelance writing. These days she mostly dreams about treating the anxieties of the present with the wisdom of the ages.
